High in the Monchique Mountains, where the air carries the scent of eucalyptus and time seems to slow down, we invite you to rediscover one of the oldest and most comforting crafts of all: making bread with your own hands.

The experience begins in the morning, with the wood-fired oven already warming up. We roll up our sleeves, prepare the dough, and learn the secrets of a tradition passed down from generation to generation. While the bread rests and rises, there is time to relax, chat, and enjoy a glass of wine — because bread-making is as much about sharing moments as it is about baking.

Once the oven reaches the perfect temperature, it is time to bake. Participants can prepare traditional bread in a variety of styles: plain bread, chouriço bread, bread with pork cracklings, olives, rosemary, or cumin seeds, depending on the season and personal preference.

The reward? A picnic at the highest point in the Algarve, the summit of Fóia, featuring freshly baked bread, local products, and everything needed for a memorable meal surrounded by the stunning mountain landscape.

Free admission. Limited capacity. Advance registration required.
Each participant may register for only one tour. Registration is open until 10pm on June 22.
